    Configurable item

A configurable item is the basic object used to compose a product structure.

It is a container for describing an element that is used for representing an object of an assembly. It can be used to build bigger components of an assembly.

    Each configurable item has:

    • variants
    • properties
    • rule

A configurable item, through the rule, variants and the properties, can include other configurable items as descendants and so we are able to create the structure needed to the final product. This is possible at any component level and so it give us a powerful customization tool.
