What is product configuration
A product configurator is a tool that helps the user to specify or customize a product by allowing to choose from a list of available characteristics.
The main idea is to present a finished product to customers without they having to imagine the end result in their head.
Properly define a selling item can be a complex task when it has one or more characteristics and one or more options available for each characteristic.
By using a product configurator the user is guided to express his choices, choosing between ones are available for the item, so the process to define the characteristics of the product becomes simple.
